 Road trips are a great way to get out and see what's around you. I also like to have my own car, especially with small kids who still need carseats. There are just some good benefits for traveling on the road, don't get me wrong- I love to fly and next weeks post will be about flying and how to organize for those trips!! When traveling by car you have a lot more time to plan , and if you are traveling with kids you need to be able to entertain and feed them quickly. We have done traveling that included us staying at campgrounds and having our own camper to cook and sleep in, and we have also stayed in hotels along the way. I do prefer traveling with our own "house on wheels"(HOW) but that isn't always an option. Packing Clothes: I like to have everything planned and ready to go ahead of time, I tend to start packing on laundry day (Wednesdays in my house) I get a laundry basket and as I'm folding laundry I put what I am taking on the trip in the basket...

March and April make me think of Spring Break and usually vacation time. I love going on vacation. I love packing for vacation even more. The part of vacation I am not the biggest fan of is coming home and then unpacking. Thanks to being organized, I have been able to do this a little better. Craft cabinet- Before After running into this long time friend in Wal-mart, and talking about organizing. She told me she was in the process of moving her craft room from an upstairs bedroom down to the main floor so she could be close to the family. She had already purchased the organizing system she would like to use. She had already started to move things around but got to a place that she had what she needed moved and kind of stopped. At the beginning of 2020 I worked with a client who was very hesitant to get organized. She is a classic Conventional who you would never know was a clutter queen. Her house was spotless, everything very tidy and clean and in perfect place. I was hired by her on a whim. She recently retired and knew she needed to get her house organized before it was too much for her to do on her own. She quickly learned it was too late, she didn't know where to start or even how to start. Insert me, and my cute organized bag with my label maker, trash bags and rubber bands just to name a few, and my trash/donate/keep/maybe bins. She was nervous, she asked if I wanted to start with a cup of coffee and right away she started pointing out where she was "a mess", behind her cabinets while looking for sugar, fridge while looking for milk... The Before Picture Closets are always an easy spot to "shove things" and close the door, and go on with your day. I have helped many clients get different closets into shape. First I helped a woman with her walk in clothes closet. Lets start with her organization style- She took the quiz and discovered that she is "Precise". So she likes to see her belongings, and also wants them organized in a detailed way. She started with clutter in her closet they day she moved into her new house. She hadn't really taken the time to figure out where she wanted each item to go in her house. When it came time to moving day, she had movers helping her. She got overwhelmed and couldn't always answer where she really wanted it to go. So a lot of times the answer was "master bedroom closet." Are you one who feels like you will never be able to get rid of your clutter because you can't let things go? Does everything in your house have a purpose to you?
